How we protect young racers
These protections are not optional add-ons — they are how youth profiles work by default.
Guardian-managed profiles
A parent or guardian creates and controls a minor’s profile, approves what appears publicly, and oversees all activity.
No home address exposed
A minor’s home address is never shown. Shipping is handled through contact-first methods, a secure link, a P.O. box, or a team shop.
Messages routed & visible
Sponsors and racers communicate through the platform. For a minor, messages are visible to the managing guardian.
Private by default
Youth profiles start private. Nothing is public until a guardian reviews it and chooses to publish.
Age and personal details hidden
Exact age and sensitive personal details are hidden by default. We show only what a guardian approves.
Guardian approves payments & shipping
Guardians can require approval for payment coordination and shipping so nothing happens without their sign-off.
A guide for parents and guardians
If your child races radio-control cars, you already know it is a real sport with real costs. Tires, batteries, entry fees, and travel add up quickly. SponsorMyRC gives your family an organized, professional way to raise support from relatives, friends, and your local racing community — without putting your child at risk.
You are in control
A profile for a racer under 18 is guardian-managed. That means you create the account, you decide what appears on the page, and you oversee every message and any coordination about shipping or payment. Your child’s page stays private until you choose to publish it.
What is never shown
- Your home address is never displayed publicly. Choose a contact-first, secure-link, P.O. box, or team-shop method for any physical items.
- Exact age, school, and other sensitive details are hidden by default.
- Personal contact information is not required to receive support.
How sponsors reach your racer
Sponsors do not get your phone number or email. Communication happens through the platform, and for a minor those messages are visible to you as the managing guardian. You can review, respond, or block at any time, and you can report anything that looks wrong.
How support arrives
Support comes as purchased parts from the retailers you list, or as contributions through the payment links you choose to connect. SponsorMyRC never holds or transfers these funds — you decide which payment methods your family is comfortable using.
Our commitment
We designed these protections because youth participation is central to RC racing’s future. If you ever have a concern, you can reach us through our contact page, and you can request deletion of your child’s data at any time via our data deletion process.
Support goes directly to the racer through the product or payment method you select. SponsorMyRC does not hold, process, or transfer these funds — you complete your payment on the racer's chosen third-party service (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and others).
