Refund & Dispute Guidance
Because SponsorMyRC never handles your money, refunds and disputes are resolved with the party that received it. Here is how.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
SponsorMyRC cannot issue refunds for contributions
SponsorMyRC does not hold, process, or transfer contribution funds. Support flows directly between sponsors, racers, retailers, and third-party payment services. As a result, we cannot refund a contribution, reverse a payment, or force delivery of a benefit. See our Third-Party Payment Disclosure.
If you bought a product for a racer
Purchases from a retailer are governed by that retailer’s return, refund, and shipping policies. For a defective, incorrect, or undelivered item, contact the retailer directly. Keep your order confirmation and tracking information.
If you sent a contribution through a payment service
Refunds and dispute processes are handled by the payment service you used (for example PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App). Review that service’s buyer protection and dispute procedures. Because many peer-to-peer payments are treated as personal transfers, they may not be reversible — only send support you are comfortable giving.
If a benefit was not delivered
Sponsorship benefits are offered and delivered by the racer, not by SponsorMyRC. If a racer did not deliver what they promised:
- Contact the racer first through Platform messaging to resolve it directly.
- Keep records of the tier details, your communication, and any agreement.
- If it is not resolved, report the racer through our contact page.
We review reports and may warn, suspend, or remove accounts that repeatedly fail to deliver or that engage in fraud. This enforcement does not, however, refund your contribution.
Platform subscription refunds
Refunds for optional SponsorMyRC subscription plans (Racer Pro and Team Plan) are handled by us and follow the plan terms presented at checkout. Contact us if you have a billing issue with your subscription.
Reduce the risk of disputes
- Sponsors: review a racer’s profile and tier before contributing, and use a written agreement for meaningful sponsorships.
- Racers: only promise benefits you can deliver, and keep sponsors updated.
- Everyone: keep your own records and communicate on-Platform.
